How it Works
The weekly shop used to mean endless label-reading. Now it’s a scan.
Squinting at the back of a packet under supermarket lighting, working out whether the foods are good for your body — that’s the part TrustDish 2.0 takes off your hands.
01
Create profile
Allergens, food restrictions, religious requirements, how you eat, what you’re working towards.
Change any of it whenever you like.
02
Scan the barcode
One hand, trolley moving. No typing, no searching, no squinting at 6-point ingredient lists under supermarket lighting.
03
Green or red. That’s it.
Green means it matches your profile. Red means avoid and we name the ingredient that made the call, not just the verdict.
Not Only Allergies
If you read labels for any reason, TrustDish is for you.
TrustDish started with food allergies. Version 2 reads the same label against whatever you need it to mean — a medical restriction, a religious requirement, an ethical choice, a health goal.
One profile, one scan, everybody in the household covered. That’s what makes this a game changer for grocery shopping…. for all of us!
Allergens & restrictions
- 14 major allergens
- Gluten-free
- Lactose-free
- Halal
- Kosher
Ways of eating
- Vegan
- Vegetarian
- Pescatarian
- GLP-1 diet support
Health goals
- Weight loss
- Muscle gain
- Balanced diet
- Heart health
Goals shape what we flag on the pack: portion size, protein, saturated fat, salt and sugar — read against the goal you picked, not a generic score.
Your profile in v2
Set up is easy.
Simple, changeable, yours.
Dietary preference, food restrictions, religious requirements, allergens and health goals — nothing is mandatory, and every product you scan looks for exactly what you’ve told us and nothing else.
- Dietary preference — vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, GLP-1 diet support, or none at all.
- Food restrictions — gluten-free and lactose-free toggles, alongside your allergens.
- Religious requirements — halal and kosher, screened at the barcode.
- Health goals — weight loss, muscle gain, balanced diet or heart health.
What’s new in version 2
v1 got you through dinner. v2 gets you through the weekly shop.
New
Barcode scanning in-store
Any packaged product, any supermarket. Green for safe, red for avoid, with the reason attached.
The double check feature
Barcode data can be out of date. Where we aren’t fully confident, TrustDish reads the printed pack label itself before giving you a verdict.
New
Beyond allergens
GLP-1 support, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free, lactose-free, halal, kosher — plus weight loss, muscle gain, balanced diet and heart health.
Better
Faster, clearer verdicts
Scan. Know. Trust.
Why 1 October
We launch on Natasha’s Day, October 1st 2026
Each year, 1 October is Natasha’s Day — a time to celebrate the legacy of change left by Natasha Ednan-Laperouse. The date is deeply significant to Natasha’s Foundation: it was on 1 October 2021 that Natasha’s Law came into force, requiring full ingredient labelling on food pre-packed for direct sale.
That law changed what a label has to tell you. TrustDish exists to make reading these labels that bit easier.
Our Commitment
€1
from every annual subscription, donated to the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation.
A confirmed partnership, not a launch-week gesture. Every year someone subscribes, the Foundation’s research into food allergy gets another euro behind it.
- Applied to every annual plan, on every platform.
- Reported publicly each year on Natasha’s Day.
