Last week, I had the pleasure of taste-testing a variety of gluten-free beers for a St. Patrick’s Day social media post, and one brand stood out above the rest – Wicklow Wolf take a bow. Known for its exceptional quality and dedication to crafting delicious brews, Wicklow Wolf did not disappoint in either the alcoholic or non-alcoholic section.

Wicklow Wolf Arcadia larger Bliss 7/10

The Arcadia gluten-free beer from Wicklow Wolf delighted my taste buds with its smooth texture and rich flavor profile. The careful craftsmanship that goes into each batch was evident from the first sip to the last.

Wicklow Wolf Moonlight Non-Alcoholic Delight 9/10

In the non-alcoholic category, Wicklow Wolf continued to impress. The Moonlight gluten-free non-alcoholic pale ale offered the same level of quality and taste as its alcoholic counterpart, making it a fantastic option for those looking to enjoy a cold brew without the alcohol.

Final Thoughts

There are plenty of quality ciders in Ireland that are invariably gluten-free but for this test, we wanted to find beers, larger or ales suitable for people with gluten sensitivity, like me. I know we didn’t taste Estrella Dam which is delicious & gluten-free and I am certain there are plenty more gluten-free beers out there, but we tasted what we could get our hands on. If there are, get in touch and we can taste them and pop them into here as a reference.

Overall, Wicklow Wolf has proven itself to be a standout in the world of Irish gluten-free beers. With its non-alcoholic option surpassing expectations, this brand is a must-try for anyone looking for a top-notch gluten-free brew. Whether you’re gluten intolerant or simply curious about gluten-free options, Wicklow Wolf is a Brand I will be buying again.
